Tropics Showing Early Signs Of Life...

In my last post, I mentioned an area east of Florida that might develop later this week.  Well it has perked up over night, so much so that NHC is talking about it.  They give it a very low chance for development since strong westerly winds (El Nino?) should steer it out to sea.  Satellite loops are indicating a well defined mid level swirl.

This morning Zack showed the computer model thinking.

If something does develop, it would drag down drier air/lower humidity over us.

I am watching another upper disturbance over the Rio Grande, but it appears that moisture will stay to our south.  The surface front has made its way off our coast and it is drier and slightly less hot.  The cloud cover should help too.  I'm posting early as I'm going fishing with Captain this afternoon.  Stay tuned!
