Ever since abandonment back in April, this has been the most difficult summer in my life. There is not much that makes me happy as anxiety & stress have taken a toll on my body. I will have right hip replacement on Oct. 23rd in hopes of reliving pain & allowing me to golf & fish again. Today I completed my 78th year on this Planet and, I am happy since my youngest son Justin is here to help me celebrate.
Last night we were out with my neighbors (Kathy & Bernard Baudin) and today we'll head on over to Etta & Captain Hylton's place to salute the little fella. Thank goodness I have such good friends to help me during these lonely times. Thank all of you who have remembered my birthday. Weather-wise, the weak Gulf low is still there just to our south giving us the clouds and rain today.
The Water Vapor clearly shows why it will not develop as lots of dry air covers the western Gulf with strong wind shear over the eastern Gulf.
The colder cloud tops are to our south & east and radar confirms that's where the heaviest storms are.
If you live along the Mississippi & Alabama coasts, you'll receive a good soaking this afternoon. For metro New Orleans, it'll be much lighter amounts. So while we enjoy these less hot temperatures, the real cold remains over the Rockies.
It's going to be another warm, summer-like week here. My podcast will be hot this Wednesday as we interview Hurricane expert Jim Cantore.
If you want to see & hear Jim, subscribe to my podcast at bobbreck.com. For $2/month, you'll get to see interviews with people you know & admire. Jim is up next. Stay tuned!
