Happy Thanksgiving, Be Grateful For Family, Stay Warm

I remember growing up in the 50s & 60s how important Thanksgiving was as a FAMILY holiday.  We'd start with the Zabrecky's in Whiting for a midday meal then head to south Hammond to the McSemek's for another huge evening meal.  Those were wonderful memories with FAMILY members many no longer with us.  After I married Paula, it was Thanksgiving with the Dybel's.  She would so love Ethan as now every Thanksgiving is with Justin & Emily.

Those of you who still have Mom & Dad with you, cherish this day.  Be grateful for the life they gave you and how you will carry on this tradition long after they have passed.  Family, I pray for those of you who haven't had good family memories.  May you someday find peace.  I just want to find warmth again!  Bowling Green was 37 this AM and the forecast is in the 20s the next 3 days.  I fly back on Monday BEFORE some snow might arrive on Tuesday.

The Great Lakes snow machine is in full force.  Fortunately, southern Kentucky is in sunshine, but it's still in the low 40s.

i see NOLA also is in full sun, but you're 12-15 degrees warmer.

With my flyback scheduled for Monday, the NOLA forecast is not encouraging.  Plane will probably be delayed?

As I mentioned yesterday, my next podcast will be from the Corvette Museum and I'm hoping Justin can get me to one of the local bourbon distilleries for another podcast.  Of course, you won't be able to watch either unless you subscribe at bobbreck.com.  During the summer, this is a hurricane blog &  podcast.  In the colder months, it'll often be about life & FAMILY.  Happy Thanksgiving Gang.  Stay tuned!
