At 8 AM it was still warm here while BTR was near freezing. I don't remember seeing such a sharp (40 degrees) temp drop over so short a distance. Yesterday's models nail the Ice Storm forecast as videos from TWC having been showing power lines down.
North of the ICE, heavy snow has fallen and is now over the Northeast.
Trying to travel into the big cities will not happen until this system pulls out to sea on Monday. Remember the key cities I pointed out regarding whether we get the bad freeze?
At 11 AM, Denver (18), Tulsa (10), Dallas (15) & San Antonio (22) are well below freezing. I like the FOX 8 forecast for morning lows the next 2 days.
Clearly, both days will require us to drip the water before going to bed. Don't do it until after dark on the North Shore and after 9 PM south.
Today will be off & on cold rain. Gosh, I need to see some sunshine again. It's coming Monday. Stay tuned!
