Our stay at the Biltmore continues, but today we took an off site road trip to see Chimney Rock, a spectacular view overlooking Lake Lure , a community that was devastated by flooding from Hurricane Helene. We begin driving out of the Biltmore.
To get in/out of the property, you drive past an Archway that shows how high the flood waters got in Biltmore Village.
As you can see, the water mark was almost to the top of the arch. On the road to Chimney Rock & Lake Lure, there still were signs of washed out roads & bridges. Once there, the views were fabulous!
We finished with a nice beverage out on their patio overlooking the Lake. We begin our drive home Friday AM where the weather is basic summertime.
When I get back, I'll work up my podcast for next week showing you why you need to schedule the Biltmore on your bucket list. To see it, go sign up at bobbreck.com. Stay tuned!
