Isaias making landfall shortly as Cat. 3

Recent satellite and radar loops, plus data from recon aircraft indicate Isaias is finally beginning a weakening trend.  However, he's so close to the coast and is moving so fast (N-17 mph) that impacts will be significant all along the Florida beaches east of Pensacola. I have the eye less than 70 miles from the coast.

You can see wave heights 20+ feet east of the center, and beach erosion will be significant east of the centerline track.

Fortunately, this wasn't our storm.  However, it will not end tonight for many in the path of this storm, as wind & rain impacts will affect folks well to the north into Saturday. Tornadoes will be a real threat after dark.

Latest radar views at 5 pm have landfall 2-3 hours away.  I go into much greater detail on who's at risk on my new podcast coming out after 6 pm.  Go to bobbreck.com to sign up to see and hear my thoughts & opinions.  Stay tuned!
