No Polar Vortex, Just Weekend Cooldown, Kyle Not Likely

As we transition from Fall to Winter, we start to look for a big dip in the jet stream (Polar Vortex) that sets up over the Great Lakes.  This allows the coldest air over Canada to invade the lower 48 states.  Right now, we have an upper low that is over the Great Lakes, but it's not the Polar Vortex.  This upper low will bring some cooler (Not colder) air our way for this weekend bringing out the sweaters and jackets.

Sure it's in the 30s & 40s up north, but I don't see below freezing temps yet.  IF your are a subscriber, yesterday's podcast focused on the Polar Vortex and this Winter's outlook that might include some snow here.

Upper wind shear and cooler waters should not allow much development. Back home, we should enjoy a really nice Fall feel this weekend.

Look for lots of high, thin clouds this weekend, but no rain is likely during the next 5-7 days.

If you're looking to use the heavy coats, that's not likely for another 10-14 days.  Enjoy your weekend and the nice dry feel outside.  Stay tuned!
