Crummy, Gloomy, Nasty, Soggy Sunday...

What I thought would be a day with just a few passing showers, turned into a wasted Sunday of all day showers.  Only by late afternoon have all the showers passed us.

Clouds along the Texas coast are moving offshore so we should see some sunshine return for Monday & Tuesday before another upper system brings more showers for Wednesday.  With sunshine tomorrow, highs should bounce back into the 60s, perhaps even 70+ like Houston.

You cold weather fans should not give up on Winter.  The super cold (40-50+ below zero) air has retreated back into Alaska, but long range computer models continue to indicate the cold will return after Feb.5th.  In fact, if you can believe the GFS model, we could see snow if a deep Gulf low develops on Friday Feb. 7th.
Don't get too excited yet since that's 12 days out...but I give you hope!  Finally, did you miss the advertisement in today's Advocate for Entergy?  After talking about Climate Change yesterday, here's their plan to reduce emissions over the next 10-20 years.   Notice it does include emission free Nuclear Power in an effort to keep our rates very reasonable.   Bravo Entergy!   Stay tuned!
