SPC Issues a PDS...

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued a Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) for areas well to our north.

The greatest risk area (Level 3) is in the warm air sector where temps are in the 70s and 80s.  It's not often you see a PDS, but when it is issued, it usually verifies.  The real danger will be from now through midnight so expect a severe weather outbreak well to our north.  There is the classic comma shape to the clouds indicating strong/fast SW upper level winds that create the shear to form rotating storms.

For us, we might see a stray shower as the tail end of a cold front staggers through overnight.  The real cold front arrives late Tuesday sweeping away all the recent record breaking heat & humidity.  Next week will feel terrific!

Finally, Bob the Builder completed the extensive remodeling of his Bird Condo and it is back up and open for business.  My neighbor David checked to make sure it was up to code (after several Miller Lites!) .

I can't wait to see if there will be any late season nesters.  One thing for sure, there are enough screws & new painted wood that should last for many years.  Yes those are Jesuit colors so I hope maybe a few blue jays make it their home!  Stay tuned & stay healthy!
