Breck is back...tropics Remain Quiet!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Spent several days at Orange Beach with some "old" friends. Had a great time, but it's almost time to be back making sure nothing is forming that we need to be concerned about...and there isn't. In fact, looking at the long term guidance, those wonderful October cold fronts are coming with the first one due in by Thursday with yet a stronger one by late in the weekend. With the upper air pattern showing more & more troughs dipping down over the Gulf & East coast, any storm that does form can't come our way. I am feeling 99% certain that we have escaped with another Hurricane season giving us no major threats.

Which gets me thinking...since this is the 2nd season in a row that the major insurance companies have collected our premiums(money) and haven't had to pay out almost anything...ya think they might rebate back some of our money? Geez, what was I thinking? If case you missed the story in the paper...St. Farm increased the salary/bonus to its CEO from $5.5 million to $11.7 million. I guess that's for doing such a good job of cutting our coverage (their liability) and increasing our premiums(their profit)?!!! And then they(insurance companies) don't want any more government involvement. I say all the coastal states should band together and pass a law that states..."if you want to sell insurance in our states, you cannot pick & chose keeping the profitable (car/life) and excluding the less profitable (homeowners). It's either all or nothing." If I were a younger man, I'd run for public office!
