We Need Some Rain !!!

After getting flooded with 6-10"+ on Monday October 22nd, we have gone 18 days without another drop. It appears we'll go another 3-4 days without significant rainfall so you'll need to water those new annuals you planted to give your yard some fall colors. Looking ahead, we should see a cold front by late Wednesday, but it will be of Pacific origin so the cool down will be minor. The long range computer models are predicting a full latitude trough developing over the central and eastern U.S. before Thanksgiving. That is likely to produce a major snowstorm across states to our north and it'll bring down some very chilly air back to the Gulf South. So let's enjoy a summer-like weekend with highs around 80 as you know what's coming during the next few weeks & months.
