Eating Dirt?
We had a story on FOX 8 tonight about many people in Haiti eating dirt because they're so hungry. Seems this past hurricane season really clobbered their food crops. Humm...sound like a crisis to me. But are many world scientists trying to solve the hunger problems? Noooooo, they are focused on stopping global warming. Just watch The Weather Channel and their Heidi Cullen trying to convince you that we can stop or slow down the current warming CYCLE. I predict people will finally react after the Al Gore zealots pass legislation driving up gas taxes ($5/gallon ?) & forcing utilities to charge more for their energy supplies. And for what? It will affect the poor the most. Bjorn Lomborg's book COOL IT describes how man should focus our efforts on problems that we can solve...world hunger, AIDS, poverty...rather than on something we can't solve...climate change. Thank goodness we don't have to eat dirt.

I believe our current energy costs are unrealistically low because of various government subsidies. We like cheap gas, but it's really not good for us.
Unrealistically low because of various government subsidies? You must be joking. $3.00 per gallon gasoline=cheap? How is "cheap" gasoline not good for us? It makes the transportation of people and products cheaper and therefore enhances the quality of life.
