After a mild to warm February, it appears we are in a pattern of active fronts sweeping across the Gulf south every 3-4 days. We'll begin a brief warm up on Wednesday before another system approaches on Thursday. If a Low forms down to our south in the Gulf, we should not see a severe weather threat here unless the Low heads farther to the coast than current forecast thinking. We will begin promoting the Midland programable Weather Radio tomorrow. It will be offered at a steep discount at all nearby Walgreens. It receives all weather warnings from the National Weather Service, but you program what parishes/counties that you want the alarm to go off. It should be part of every household, especially since many tornadoes in the south occur during the night.
Spent the weekend in Atlanta at my friend's 70th birthday party. What a blast! Gives this 60 year old hope for many more active, fun filled years!

NOAA weather radios are they any good?
Caveman, they are fantastic. Will wake you up if there is a threat in your parish. All you have to do is program it!!
I really hope that the low stays south so we don't have to go through severe storms again.
