Old Man Winter...He keeps on Rolling...

After a stormy night, you'll notice sharply colder air roaring in on strong northerly winds Friday & Saturday. It's back to sweaters, jackets & heavy coats...at least for 2 days. Morning lows on Saturday & Sunday will be near or below freezing on the Northshore with the Southshore staying in the low to mid 30s. A warming trend begins on Sunday continuing into next week.

It seems much of this year's severe weather has been happening overnight when most folks sleep. In an effort to keep you safe, FOX 8 has partnered with Midland Weather Radio Corporation, MaxPro Windows and Walgreens to provide you with the opportunity to purchase a PROGRAMABLE weather radio at a steep discount. ($29.99) This radio allows you to program the counties/parishes that you want to know if a warning is issued. It is a great buy and our hope is that every home, school, fishing camp, country club etc has this radio to alert you BEFORE the storm strikes. Go to your nearest Walgreens to purchase one.

What month will it be when those cold snaps end for good so I can put my jacket back to stock?
