More Heavy Rains Possible?

As promised, some areas north of the lake received 3-7" of rainfall Wednesday afternoon that resulted in street flooding. High winds knocked down trees and took out power for many folks. More storms could return on Thursday and, if a slow moving front stalls over us, could linger into Friday and Saturday. Flood warnings have been issued for Northshore rivers while most of the Southshore received an inch or less rainfall. We have seen some of our worst floods in May (1978, 1995) and the current pattern presents the potential for more widespread flooding Thursday into Friday. Keep up with the weather until drier air arrives on Saturday.
