June, historically, is one of our wetter months, but the first week started off dry due to a large upper high that prevented clouds to develop much vertical growth. That began to change over the weekend as some showers formed Saturday afternoon and today really kicked up the coverage to about 40% of the area. Tonight we're watching a weak upper low that has drifted across Florida into the eastern Gulf. As this system gets closer, it'll add to shower development so you better keep the umbrellas handy for most of this week. We need the rain plus increased showers usually mean a decrease in our afternoon temperatures.
Hope you have kept track of last week's developments in Washington? The Senate refused to allow any debate on the foolish Warner-Leiberman "Cap & Trade" CO2 emmission bill effectively killing it. More and more infomation is coming out that indicates the warming cycle has ended and the Planet may begin to enter the next cooling cycle. How could that be Al Gore? CO2 continues to increase, but the World's temperatures are not following despite all the doom & gloom predictions of climate modelers. With such uncertainty, the last thing politicians should do is pass laws that increase our taxes & curtain our freedoms/liberties.
