Happy Birthday America...

Hi Gang...Just returned from a brainwashing Climate Change conference in Denver & 4 days at Jackson hole and Yellowstone . If anyone doubts the Earth's climate is always changing, take a drive thru the Rockies and marvel at the various rock layers showing the different climates of the past. I'll have more on the Conference in future blogs.

Tropical Storm Bertha forms way out in the Atlantic and NHC forecasts keep the storm well east of the United States. Bermuda may be threatened down the road but that is over a week away. For us, the Gulf and Caribbean remain a hostle environment, although several upper disturbances will keep our weather rather unsettled for the next 4-5 days. I'll be back on-air on Monday of next week. Enjoy the long 4th of July weekend.

So, apparently, the brainwashing was not effective. Those mad scientists really need to upgrade their mind control techniques.

With all of this Global Warming stuff, no one is talking about ice ages. I think that after the Global Warming is over, we will have some Global Cooling tens of thousands of years from now. What would we do during the next ice age?

Some of the computer models showing bertha possibly going straight west...

what do you have to say about this!!

Speaking of computer models, without them weatherman would be lost. Pretty much anyone with some broadcast experience can do the weather. The little guys always bash the experts.

Enjoy the comments...regarding Bertha...Hard to get worried about something so far away. Appears to be making an eventual turn to the north well before it threatens East Coast. I find it interesting that people bash the Corps Of Engineers (a government agency) and their computer models, but have total faith in NOAA"S ( a government agency)climate models. Thank goodness most TV weathercasters at the conference asked questions and just didn't accept the programmed answers from NOAA & NCAR.

Corps Of Engineers - who was bashing them?
