No Alarms...yet
Tonight's information from the hurricane hunters indicate no better organization in Dolly. That's the good news. The bad news is they couldn't find a center of circulation. Which means we should not totally believe the model guidance which depends on an initial starting point. Current model forecasts keep Dolly heading towards the lower Texas coast and no threat to us. If a new center is trying to form farther to the north, that could mean this system will come closer to Louisiana than currently forecast. I'll be watching to see if Dolly does cross part of the Yucatan, which would weaken her or not allow strengthening. Or, if she stays in the Yucatan Channel and starts to become better organized on Monday and head farther to the north. Again, no alarms yet...but continue to pay attention...especially to her forward speed. The faster she moves and the stronger she becomes, the harder for her to make a drastic turn to the north. If she slows down, that could mean a turn is coming. I'll update again tomorrow afternoon.

I know that your job is to inform and to tell us the truth about what is happening about the storm. But I was sooo hoping that you were going to tell us that there is no chance for this storm to come any closer to us. Now I have another 2 to 3 days more to worry about this silly storm because the exact center hasn't actually been located! Thanks for the update, and please continue to keep us informed. Did I mention that I hate hurricanes? :>)
Hopefully this storm won't become the next Katrina.
OK It is tomorrow afternoon. What is Dolly doing? Is it still too early to call? We don't get a lot of the scoop in Baton Rouge...
