Edouard Moving Slowly Westward...
Tropical Storm Edouard continues a slow westward drift and all computer models(one exception) take him to the upper Texas coast on Tuesday. My concern...and it's a small one...is slow moving weak storms often have erratic motion. The models do very weel forecasting bigger, stronger systems, but the small, weak ones give them trouble. Even if Edouard changes course and heads closer to us, his wind field is small, his storm surge is minor (compared to Katrina) and the main concern would be heavy rainfall. FOX 8 will be on the air all night at the top of the hour just in case the storm makes any sudden changes in direction or strength. Again, expect some gusty winds and briefly heavy squalls, mainly south of the city during the day on Monday.
