Only a matter of time...

You knew it wouldn't take them very long. Yesterday's terrible floods around Atlanta of course is a signal of climate change. That according to Jim Cantore, their hurricane tracker. And today our President told the United Nations that unless we act, "climate change may be irreversible"!!! Geez, from what I've read and studied, climate has ALWAYS been changing and will continue to change as long as our Planet exists. What I find is the most zealot GW alarmists are under 50. It's like they have never seen extreme weather events before. They say the extremes are happening more often. But are they really? Or has our technological society made every T-Storm, every raindrop or snow flake feel more personal with instant publication via internet, Facebook, YouTube etc? Clemson University released a study (Funded by NSF for $100K) today that says the frequency of hurricanes is increasing. Huh? Dr. Gray told us that at a Hurricane Conference back in 1988...that the cycle/frequency of hurricanes would increase back to the active level of the 40s & 50s. And indeed, that happened beginning in 1995. Dr. Gray says these active cycles last 20-30 years. So why are we funding studies for things we already know? It's all about money & power. If we allow the government more power (cap & trade), it won't be long before they take more of OUR money...and THAT would be IRREVERSIBLE !

I guess it doesn't help that according to the T.P. on the top of the front page today it had a look back on summer and the temperature was a degree higher than normal temperature for a typical summer.

Bob it definitely sounded like fire flew from your fingertips as you typed away on this blog...I still point back to my last blog which basically said how is man going to stop weather from happening???...he can't.

You don't think I don't want it to snow in New Orleans every year and that I want cold weather for Thanksgiving and Christmas or that on a certain day I don't want it to rain...can I make any of these happen.... NO!!!

Your so so right its all about the power and money...and trust me the Government needs more and more money these days and they're coming after me and you for it.

Sadly enough a lot of people have voted these people in office that want a tax on climate change and sadly the rest of us will have to live with it.

Bob is correct as the climate has been changing since the beginning of time. Why it was warmer during the Medieval Warm period than today. Funny but there was no additional CO2 in the atmosphere back then then the Vikings could grow crops in Greenland. I doubt CO2 is the forcing factor in the recent warming. I suggest you look up in the sky around noon for the answere to GW.......MGC

The bottom line is that its all about the money! I have had enough of those GW Extremists. I have had enough of teachers brain washing the Children of America, the future of America with this Global Warming dooms day garbage. And I can't believe I was almost brainwashed into believing that Man is cause and the driver of Climate Change or Global Warming, whatever they want to call it. Thank You Bob for giving me the TRUTH and not allowing me to but into this scam for money that has been blown out of proportion. Thanks for going out of your way and blogging every other night to tell us the facts. Its greatly appreciated.

Curious how GW both creates more hurricanes and prevents them from occurring.

That's what I call an inconvenient truth.

Here's what drives me wild - people have been hyping normal climate change and declaring "We're all gonna die!!1!" for about a hundred years - they've gone from cold, to hot, to cold, hot...

This article details each time:

What baffles me is how people don't catch on!

So just because there is not a consensus on climate change, we should continue polluting the environment, and using natural resources at an unsustainable rate? I like to keep my money in my pocket as much as the next guy, but I don't believe current industrial practices are in the best interest of our future. Especially not Louisiana's.

I also like to keep politics out of my weather.. A bit disappointed Bob.
