Great Thursday, Weekend Still Iffy...

If you don't mind the chill and are dressed for it, this is terrific weather were in, the "good feel" air. Thursday shud stay mostly sunny with some high, thin clouds showing up late PM. Friday will start with filtered sunshine with increasing PM clouds. Not here's where the fun begins. Models are trying to develop a Gulf low for Friday night off the lower Texas coast. Tonight's VIPIR run keeps that low far to our south during the day on Saturday with all the rain offshore. It'll be cloudy, breezy & rather chilly , but according to VIPIR - DRY. That system passes thru Tampa Bay Sunday morning with all showers over BEFORE gametime. Go Saints !

Watching TWC push going GREEN today. I'm all for a cleaner environment, reducing energy usage etc...but what they fail to tell you is that many of the companies under the Universal-NBC-TWC umbrella will make huge profits from all the "green" products they sell. My problem? Not disclosing their interest in making you go green.

And the big money going to the anti-GW movement comes from people who will make huge profits if emission restrictions arent put into place... Funny how that works.

Seems like these days, it's just Corporate Greed vs Government Greed, and the little guy gets caught in the middle and screwed either way.

What Bob says is accurate. What's good for the goose IS NOT good for the gander when it comes to the monetary beneficiaries of the "green movement". They (incl Al Gore) always shove their "concern" for the planet in our faces and pooh-pooh any talk about profits. Because, God forbid they are in this for the profits.

And certainly, it's no secret that oil companies are in business for profit, but "green groups" fail to recognize the many bucks spent by oil companies on land conservation surrounding oil producing areas or the research and development of cleaner energy sources and technology to make fossil fuel cleaner.

Bottom line, the glowarmies ain't these sanctimonious folks they want everyone to believe they are. The "greenies" are in it for the green.
