Ida Over Land hanging On...
The remains of once Hurricane Ida, now a weak Trop. Depression, are drifting into Honduras tonight. She may re-emerge back over the warm waters of the Caribbean late Friday night and is forecasted to become a tropical Storm once again. NHC continues to bring her well into the Gulf, but latest model runs tonight tell me lots of shear will keep her weak & far to our south & east. Our Sunday night into Monday rains will come from an area of low pressure that will develop over the western Gulf, not from Ida. Our current dry spell will reach 7 days before we have to use the rain gear again. Sure has been nice without the humidity around.
