After enduring a rainy October, November so far is Zero for the first 4 days with at least 2 more dry days, maybe 3. Changes arrive by Sunday when a surge of Gulf moisture promises to bring numerous rain showers extending into early Tuesday. A rather strong cold front should push off the Louisiana coast by midday Tuesday ending the rain and bringing back the good feel air. In addition, that front will block any chance for the remains of what's left of Trop. Storm Ida from reaching near us. In fact, IF Ida reaches the Gulf on Monday, the farther north she moves, the more hostile environment she'll encounter. She will not be our problem.
My concerns regarding Ida tonight are for the folks in Nicaragua & Honduras where potentially life threatening rainfall of 10-15 inches could produce floods & mudslides. If you do believe in a Creator, tonight is a night to pray for those 2 countries. I'm afraid loss of life could easily be in the hundreds as Ida will be a very slow mover.
