Great Weather NFL...

We have another great weather day coming on Friday, but at this time of the year, it's Not For Long. A fast moving southern jet stream will bring a storm that is pounding California tonight across the Gulf South late Saturday into Sunday. It will be moving so fast that I don't think the deep Gulf moisture will have time to work into it. Tonight's VIPIR run gives us little or no rain Saturday evening between 7-11 PM. Sunday's tailgating weather should be fine as skies clear and highs will be near 70. Colder air arrives on Monday and it will bring back the coats & jackets. In the short term, some dense sea fog remains along the mouth of the river and that could overspread us Saturday morning before the winds increase later in the day.

And now my Saint's prediction. I too agree with CAVEMAN and Bourbon St. Blues...it will be a close game, a nail bitter...until a turnover in the 4th quarter gives the Saints control. I don't feel it will be a real high scoring game. Saints 24 Vikings 20 with Vikings driving in the final minute, but Sharper makes an interception inside the 10 yd. line to preserve the win. Do we stop with the Playoffs ? As Coach Mora once said..."are you kiddin' me? Playoffs? Playoffs?" Nah, it's on to Miami & da Super Bowl. Go Saints !!!

Has anybody noticed a trend this season with the Saints? I have. Every time a "good team" comes to town, according to the "experts", they are either supposed to beat the Saints or its supposed to be a nail biter till the last drive of the Game. Did that happen with the Eagles? Did that happen with the Jets? Did that happen with the Giants? Did that happen with the Patriots? Did that happen with the Cardinals? NO! The Saints ended up blowing them all out.

The Vikings are HYPE. Sure they are 12-4 but look who they played! They played the Browns, Lions 2X, 49ers, Packers 2X, Rams, Ravens(should have lost), Steelers(L), Seahawks, Cardinals(L), Bengals, Panthers(L), and Giants. They played mostly horrible teams this year and should honestly be a 10-6 team. As you may know the Vikings get a little nervous when on the road, there road record is 4-4. The Vikings have lost 3 out of there last 5 regular season games! With Brett Farve! I also did a little digging and did you know Brett Farve is 1-3 against Gregg Williams defenses? Enough said.

My point is that the Saints will not only beat the vikings on Sunday, the will destroy the Vikings, and Darren Sharper will get his revenge. In 2 weeks the Saints will be feeling the warm Brees in Miami.

Saints 45 Vikings 17

I will agree ONLYREAL, when you think the Vikings lost to the Bears, who were just pathetic this year....seems like the Saints should have the Vikings Number. I like your prediction especially with your preliminary comments...you give me confidence brother.

I guess Championship mania has set in solidly today and the adreneline is flowing...can't wait till I head down there....

No way would I ever put my tickets on stub hub to make a buck....this is our team, our city and its is the Saints time!!!...No city is more deserving of this!!! Also, its happening in our lifetime...who knows when this chance will come again!!!

Go for the Gusto and live life to the fulliest....Go SAINTS!!!!

I have to agree with OnlyReal as well...while some could say the NFC South was not a strong division this year, the other teams have certainly been more competitive than the NFC North. Plus, we played the NFC East and AFC East - Vikings had NFC West (another joke) and AFC North (not as strong a division as they were last year).
