Shorts & Tank Tops Again?

The last time we were 70 or above was on Christmas Eve. That's almost a month ago, so when we top 70 this week(very likely), many folks will say it feels much warmer since we have endured 4 weeks of below normal temperatures. Don't be surprised to see folks peel off the clothes as they exercise or sit out in the sun. Of course as I mentioned, a warmer pattern is usually a wetter pattern and that appears what's ahead for the next 10-14 days. California is getting hammered tonight and that system will be here Wed-Thurs. Expect a rain system in the southern stream about every 3-4 days for the rest of this month.

How 'bout Dem Saints! Those of you who channel surf to compare different weathercasts had to be impressed with the VIPIR forecast on Friday night. While NWS correctly called for 100% chance for rain on Saturday, I showed the VIPIR Forecast that clearly indicated a break in the rain after 9 AM thru about 3 PM. Since FOX 8 was doing a live 12-2:30 PM broadcast, our management didn't want it to rain during that time frame. Watching the other channels, NONE of them said 100% chance for rain DOES NOT MEAN it will rain 100 % of the time. They all indicated Saturday would be a washout (2-4" possible). It WAS a dreary day, but most of the tailgating was done without any rain. Cudos to our VIPIR model.

Yeah, my wife(party pooper) wanted us all to wear jackets that wouldn't absorb water to the Saints game ....she too mentioned the 100% of rain. I told her that you thought they'd be a break most of the day. I saw your VIPIR run and it was accurate.

Well I refused to wear a jacket and told my kids that they could take their jackets off once we got in the car...Hey what happens at Saints games, stays at Saints games...

So Bob I see you are now sharing the spotlight with your 30 sec weather spot during the game....what a guy...hey I tell you, you get the crowd fired up!!!!

Wow what a game...everything went our way!!! Bring'm on...Farve and those Purple people eaters, The Vikings...

Bob everyone at our tailgate on Sunday was giving props to you for calling for break in the rain. You're right, the other channels were making us think we'd need our life jackets LOL.

Now, how about next Sunday......

Well, it looks like that 70%ish prediction for snow in January will not be the case. That's ok by me, I'm already sick of COLD weather....I'm relishing in the fact that we'll see 70's this week. Come on Spring!!!!!

and of course....GEAUX SAINTS!!!!
