Well the severe weather did develop as advertised. Fortunately, it appears the worst is staying well to our north and east. Fog is likely to be around early Thursday, but I expect skies to become sunny and that could allow highs to reach 80 for the 1st time this year. Somewhat cooler, not colder, air arrives for the weekend, but we should stay mostly dry into next week. Don't pack the sweaters and jackets as more cold air returns for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Still foolin' with the squirrels. Where is Buddy D. when I need him?!

All the bad weather has moved out of the area and we will once again go into a quiet period of weather. Today, drier air will move into the area thanks to a west wind and this will cause our temperatures to skyrocket to near 80 degrees this afternoon. Tonight the large Upper Level Low to our North will pass us up and put us into North West Flow. This will knock off a couple degrees from our Highs and Lows (Highs 60’s Low’s 40’s) and this means we will go back into Below Normal territory, which we are already become very familiar with this past winter. Northwest Flow will persist into this weekend and this will subsequently keep our weather nice through this weekend and continuing on into Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday our winds will shift more Southerly as a new disturbance in the southern Jet stream approaches our area. This system will be our next rain maker, however, this is quite far out and there is a lot of disagreement between the guidance. We will check up on this system in a day or two when there is better consensus.
PS. Daylight Savings Time is this weekend so remember to spring your clocks forward one hour Saturday Night before you go to bed!
