Winds Are a Changing...

As high pressure has drifted east of us tonight, winds have shifted back off the Gulf and are starting to increase. That is not good news as we have a major oil spill hovering less than 20 miles off the mouth of the Mississippi River. Winds are expected to reach 20-25 mph on Thursday and 20-30+ on Friday and Saturday with higher gusts. No change in wind direction is likely before the middle of next week. Our rain chances will be on the increase by Friday and SPC has us in the "slight risk" area for some severe storms Friday into early Saturday. It will not rain all the time this weekend. Just be prepared for several rainy periods. Highs will be back into the middle 80s with maybe upper 80s ahead of our next front on Tuesday.

Hi Bob! I am flying out of MSY on Saturday morning at 6:30am. Should I expect a delay or at least a bumpy ride? Thanks!

Hi Bob!

I am flying out of MSY at 6:30am on Saturday morning, going to Dallas and then Portland. Do you think I should expect a delay - or at least a bumpy ride? Thanks.

Bob,

In your previous blog you mentioned a new CO2 bill, something different from cap and tax. That idea is related to the activity of the Chicago Climate Exchange If you google "Chicago Climate Exchange, you will be shocked who is involved and it's purpose. Obama, Al Gore and Franklin Raines are involved. Franklin Raines, if you recall was the exec with Fannie Mae who left in disgrace with 100 mil. He bought a patent relative to CO2 reduction. This will become a 10 trillion dollar a year industry.

If you were just suspect of the AGW agenda before, you will be outraged now. I won't go into much detail, but if you are interested to see where our money will be wasted visit that subject, Chicago Climate Exchange.

Okay, I guess what kills me about passing a CO2 reduction bill is the government must think were all just stupid, moreover they really don't care what we think, just look at the healthcare bill they passed.

Okay so the USA passes a CO2 bill instead of Cap & Tax. So that means no more Global Warming...Right? Duh...but hey what about Europe, Russia, China, South America, Africa and Australia??? Don't they put any CO2 in the air as well???...No, it just the evil, greedy USA that emits into the atmosphere.... Paaaalease!!!

IF CO2 is such a major problem for us then its a worldwide thing and to say one nation that tries anything to correct without it being a global effort, is just fighting a losing battle...

And I guess another question one should ask, do we trust the government to fix any problem these days??? Nope.

But like you said Bob, more regulation, more Gov't control and more taxation.

Did anyone see that Al Gore bought another house today? This one costed 9 million dollars. I wonder where that money came from?

I will have a detailed weather update on the next few days either tonight or early tomorrow.

Bourbon,

The people have no say so anymore in what goes on in this country. We only have an "opinion".
