Front Coming For Weekend...

Once into May the fronts that do make it down to the Gulf Coast are no longer "cold", but rather fronts that bringing drier(less humid) air. Such is the one that should arrive after daybreak on Saturday. NWS is saying 20% chance for a shower with the front while tonight's VIPIR run brings it thru dry. Winds will increase from the south on Friday (12-20+), turn westerly Saturday AM and northerly during the PM(10-18). Sunday winds veer around to the NE-E (12-20) before returning to the South early next week. Cloud cover has prevented us from seeing the oil slick on our high-res pictures, but hopefully the rising Mississippi will keep most of the oil out of our marsh.
