Wow...not even a tropical depression, yet some rainfall totals of 4-6 ". That's what tropical mosture can do. I remember a weak slow moving Hurricane named Danny several years back that caused little wind damage but stalled over Mobile bay and drenched the west sid of the bay with over 40+". Image that happening over SE Louisiana? Yikes! Can you say extreme flooding? Fortunately, the remains of Bonnie didn't linger and her storms tonight are now over north Mississippi. Looks like the next 2 days will be basic summertime before we dry out and a heat wave returns for later in the week.
For all you Global Warming Alarmists who are giggling about the current heat wave over the eastern U. S. ..Do a Google search for...'South America coldest ever". You'll find what the main stream media won't report. Granted, it is their winter and it's supposed to be cold, but c'mon, it's our summer up north and it's supposed to be hot. Compare this Summer to Summer of 1936 and it was hotter back then...no matter what NOAA tries to tell you. After an El Nino, it's supposed to be hot. Bottom line...never let facts(fudged or not) get in the way of a good story.

I don't need to imagine it - remember hurricane Juan, back in the 80s? That was a very wet week.
Bonnie was a shu-shu as we call in the firework world...but I think it was a blessing for the oil clean-up process. Imagine if it would have caused 10-15 ft waves. No telling what that would have done to our marshlands.
The system did bring some rain to our area, just the wrong part of the day to cool things off. But still rain is good.
Still been doing my fair share of relaxing in the pool this summer...my poor duckie thermomater never made it into the pool this year, (now I have to find the darn thing) but I dont find the water to be stiffling hot as it could be.
I agree Bob its supposed to be hot this time of year and the same can be said for our neighbors to the south...it should be cold...it natures balancing act. I mean how can these people claim global warming when its cold in other parts of the world....amazing.
