Fall Coming Early ?

"Meteorological" Summer is over and we all know cooler weather is just around the block. Sometimes it's a long block, but according to computer models, several "cool" fronts will push thru SE LA in the next 2 weeks. Normal highs fall from around 90 to the mid 80s by the end of the month, but more importantly, a look at the record lows show over night lows can dip into the 50s(southshore) as soon as the 2nd week in Sept. and into the 40s towards the end of the month. Most of us don't want cold weather, just less hot and LESS HUMID ! Colder air does diminish the hurricane threat too so let's bring 'em on down.

Hurricane Earl looks impressive tonight and it likely will get close to the Carolina coast after dark on Thursday. Fiona is struggling and will recurve well east of Florida. No Labor Day Weekend storms should be in the Gulf...for a change.

Bob, is it to early to predict how this winters going to be? Hopefully cool, but not like it was last winter.
