Most of SE LA received 1-2" of rain today with some "isolated" areas getting 4-6". Yep, 80% of our area had around an inch of rain...however, the 20% that got clobbered happened over where 80% of the population lives ! Tonight the remnants of TD 5 still showing a swirl on radar, but it has shifted to just SE of Gulfport and is drifting slowly inland. If that's the case, maybe the heavy rain threat will slide to our east and Friday might see many more sunny breaks? We'll see some storms redevelop again, but hopefully the real heavy stuff will pull away. Saturday & Sunday will be drier and hotter before next week turns soggy again.
The tropics remain quiet WORLDWIDE confusing all the experts. Dr. Masters on WEATHERUNDERGROUND offers several scenarios trying to figure out what's going on...good reading.

Bob...what do you think about the possiblity of TD5 re-entering the GOM next week? I read some thoughts about this on StormW's blog on WU.
This is really strange right? The remnants of TD 5 may re-emerge into the gulf next week and head our way, again? As of this morning, the CMC, GFS and NGP models are predicting this... Any opinions on likelihood/potential strength?
J & Informant...I remember a few days back that one of the models had TD 5 a Cat. 3 in the Gulf. What's left of it is up in AL/GA this PM. Will it drigt back southward and head our way? So What? Main concern is more heavy rainfall Tuesday-Thursday as it would be another slow mover.
