Will Danielle Form?

As most of you know, we have TD 5 in the SE Gulf off 0f Ft. Myers. NHC brings the center of this system almost right over us. Before you start loading the car, the upper environment around TD 5 is still rather hostile making rapid intensification almost impossible. NHC does make it a TS Wednesday PM but keeps it a weak (45-50 mph) TS at landfall. We need its forward movement to increase since it's only 5 mph tonight. That would bring some heavy rain totals(8-10") to us if that doesn't change. I think it will speed up but we could still see 3-5+ " Thurs-Friday. Pray for the wind shear to stay up as TD 5 moves over the very warm waters of the Gulf.

In the short term...Wednesday morning may not be too bad with sunny skies here as squall approach the coast. Weather should go down hill late PM and after dark. I'd hit the supermarkets before noon. Doesn't look like a major blow coming...but remember Cindy in 2005? Stay tuned

Yes indeed I do remember Cindy!! They looked back and realized that Cindy was a cat 1 hurricane. Anything could happen but we will hope for the best. For all of us New Orleaneans who now live in other cities(Denham) keep us up to snuff with your blog. We want the real picture!!!Hope you are doing well after your visit to the DR.

As a resident of Chauvin, I remember Cindy all to well. But I rather be looking at Danielle than Katrina. Is there any reason for the weather graphics to go on and off during your weather segmen? Kind of annoying during this important time. Wish you well at the doctors.
