Tick,Tick,Tick...
No that's not the clock ticking down the final seconds in the LSU game...it's the clock ticking down the final weeks of this hurricane season. Each day we get deeper into October without any tropical development means we are more likely not to see any threat this year. Long range computer models show nothing that would worry us for the next 10-14 days with more cold fronts coming during that time period. Once into November our concern shifts from the tropics to when the first freeze arrives. I don't like cold air, but I dislike Hurricanes even more. I can wear sweaters and jackets along with pulling out the heavy coat every now and then. With the threat of storm season essentially over for us, let's enjoy this great fall air before the REAL cold arrives.

That was the clock ticking down on Les Miles career as head coach.
Yes indeed. I like that clock very much. I hope this weather that we are having right now isnt a sign of a cold winter!?!
Well BOB, another hurricane season ALMOST under your belt. If our winter is as mild (so to speak) as our summer was, it will be wonderful. I have noticed that we have not had any rain in a long time. Do you know how many days exactly. I see we have burn bans all over south LA. and MS. We certainly could use a shower but I hate to say it out loud with all of the beautiful weather we have been having. And in the long term, maybe we could be blessed with another white Christmas this year! That would top off a "pretty perfect weather year" for New Orleans.... give or take the few small flooding days we had. Caveman, that was a good one. I'll bet ole Les Miles is sweating! I hear LSU fans are booing him at home games!
