What Happened to Da cold ?

We had several "teaser" cold fronts come thru that brought out the jackets and sweaters, but we were back to shorts and tank tops this weekend. Looking at the long range guidance tonight and I see no real cold air coming during the next 2 weeks. In fact, our current spell of comfy cool mornings and pleasantly warm afternoons will continue with little chance for significant rain during the next 5-7 days.

Our hurricane season is long over and there is nothing expected to develop except way out in the Atlantic or way down in the Caribbean. There is a super typhoon(winds 180+) in the Western Pacific but that is not surprising since there has been little activity to churn the waters up and take the heat from the tropics up to the northern latitudes. The Earth needs hurricances to keep the heat balance of the planet. Someday we'll learn how to tame them without upsetting that delicate balance of nature.

Oh by the way...How 'Bout Dem Saints !!!

Seems like we're stuck in a stalemate here. The weather has changed enough to know winter is coming but that's about it. I guess I'd rather be stuck with this weather instead of a prolonged August until November.

The game was great! Some kind of fire got into them for sure. The Bucs certainly are not the greatest team in the NFL but the Saints just looked different playing them. The 49ers, Cards, and Panthers are all pretty mediocre this year and they all gave us a rough time. So I feel safe in saying the Saints are back. But I will not bet on them until we see the action against the Steelers.
