Another Weather Streak Going...

Today is day 4 without clouds, a streak that will probably continue for another day. As high pressure slowly shifts eastward, our winds will become more southerly bringing back the Gulf muggies and that means some clouds. It appears no front will come close until over the weekend so our rain chances will be near zero until then. No signs of another cold outbreak coming during the next 7-10 days.

Caveman,

You were one off. The closest is only good in horseshoes and grenades.

No actually according to BOB one of the storms should have not been named! So I am spot on.

Hey Bob. :^)

I've been watching you for yearsssss on tv, and I have 'recently' been reading your blog (for the last 2 years). That's like 10 years or more. I finally decided to say hey. So ummm, hey. You rule, Bob.

Congratulations OnlyReal to your Genuis status with the hurricane predictions....

Sure enjoyed the cold weather over the weekend...can't wait till the next front comes down. The last front had that sharp crisp air about it....

What are we going to do this weekend without any Saints games.... hmmm I am sorting and assembling beads for my ride in February....its just cheaper by the dozen that way....

Anyone can guess a number like ONLYREAL. But like you said in a previous post how it takes little skill to predict the number of storms. It only matters when you predict their spot of landfall. "To me, there is little value in guessing the total number of storms since we have to be prepared regardless of whether it's one or 20. When they [experts] can narrow down the where or when with some skill, then it's time to pay attention." -Bob Breck October 8th blog.

Last time I checked the NHC named 19 named storms this season so I'm spot on. ;)

Anyway, were going to see a gradual modifying trend for the rest of this week and then turning wet for next week.

Long range models have a nice shot of cold air arriving around the 20th. Stay tuned!
