Things are shaping up for some wild December weather across a good portion of the nation. In fact, it could start early with a Thanksgiving Eve storm rumbling across the Gulf South bringing some snow to parts of the Northeast. After that, surges of cold arctic air plunge out of Canada clashing with Gulf moisture that could produce snowstorms from the Rockies to the Northeast. Are you excited yet? Sounds like I've been reading the Old Farmer's Almanac !
In the short term, after a chilly start Friday, the warm up will be on thru the weekend into next week. Highs will return to the 70s with Gulf muggies making it feel very Spring-like. Our next real cold front arrives late Wednesday-early Thursday bringing some showers/T-Storms followed by much colder air that'll bring back the sweaters and jackets. Warm weather freaks (like me) get out and enjoy the next 5-6 days because December weather is coming early for us!
