"Screwing You Royally..."

Tom Brokaw called them "The Greatest Generation". Not according to an LSU Professor who blamed..."his generation and his parents' generation for climate change ...and for screwing you (students) royally." Yikes! He goes on saying..."there is scientific agreement on humanity's effect on global warming." This is what they are teaching/brainwashing our kids. I personally am offended as my Dad was a WWII Vet and taught me if I studied hard, worked hard and was fair and honest I would get ahead in life. Now we have Professors preaching the gospel of carbon footprint, wanting us(my Dad's & my Generation) to feel guilty for achieving and making life better for our families. He obviously doesn't know of warming CYCLES on this Planet BEFORE man was around. Conserve energy? Sure. Reduce greenhouse gases? Absolutely...but do it as stewards of Mother Earth and NOT because you believe man can stop the CYCLES of climate change that have happened since the beginning of the Universe. The arrogance of the "elite" simply amazes me. As too many people in the World go hungry tonight, some are more concerned about their carbon footprint. Something is wrong with that. Preaching belongs in church, not in a public classroom.

By the way, our weekend into next week will be mostly dry and warmer. Next front Thanksgiving Afternoon and night.

It's part of the indoctrination process that, unfortunately, goes on at all colleges and universities. I was just given about a dozen, or so, pages on "Greenhouse Gases and Global Warming" as part of my chemistry class at UNO.

Apparently, it was taught as part of the Biology curriculum. Someone decided it was better to teach it during chemistry. Probably because it's an easier sell coming from a chemistry perspective rather than a biological one.

In summary, it's the same tired story, human activity has increased the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and at the rate we're going we're all going to die soon.

Obviously, I have something of a cynical attitude towards it.

Even my daughter said one night this week something about Global Warming....now she is in 8th grade. I was going to ask her about but the family conversation went elsewhere.

Now I am thinking they are preaching this in Catholic High School not to mention 8th grade. Having read this I will ask her what was said...hopefully she have details.

Otherwise well said Bob!!! My parents were born in the early and mid '30's and I know they worked hard and scarficed to make our lives what it is today....and I want the same for mine...

Now go Saints....its going to be great seeing them on Sunday and again on Turkey day...hopefully we'll make stuffing out of those Cowboys....

Yes Bourbon they are preaching it in high school. I wrote a paper this past week disproving human driven climate change and he wrote on it "total bogus" but I still got a good grade even through he believed differently. I find it very disconcerting that Catholic High Schools are so narrow minded.
