Winter is Over ?

As we remain under freeze warnings again tonight, thoughts of Spring seem so far away. But don't despair, a major pattern change will stop the cold fronts from coming down to the Gulf South for the next 10-14 days. Much milder Pacific air will over flow most of the southern tier of states and, along with a higher February sun angle, much warmer temperatures (60s & 70s) will replace the 30s & 40s. This weekend will be mostly sunny with Saturday's highs 55-60, Sunday 62-66, and even warmer for next week. By the time another cold front comes we'll almost be in March. We can still get light freezes well into March, but the real cold will be less frequent and less intense. Start planting your tomato seeds in pots INSIDE your house. Too soon to plant the garden outside. Gotta wait until after March 15th. Enjoy your weekend outside after the early morning chill is gone.
