We have a massive upper level ridge across most of the southern states tonight that is expected to last thru the weekend and for most of next week. That means we'll stay warm (80+) and mostly dry. The longer range (10-14 days) models are hinting of a major pattern shift back to an East Coast trough during the first week in April. That will mean much colder air will return with the potential for snowstorms up north and some frost/freezes down into the South. At this time it's too early to tell how bad the cold will be for us, but I wouldn't put away the jackets and sweaters just yet.
In the short term, this weekend should be Spring-Like (Vernal Equinox is sunday at 6:21 PM) with highs 80+. Morning fog will be an issue every day, but it should be gone by 9-10 AM with abundant PM sunshine. It'll be a great weekend to get your garden going. I'll be watching the cold for next weekend to see if it'll have any impacts on us. Stay tuned.
