What a delightful Mardi Gras with comfortable temps and little wind. Out of towners should of had a great time experiencing what we often take for granted. I hear it every year..." we don't have nothing like this back in (fill in any city/state)!!!" Yep, it's what makes this a special place.
The dreaded SW flow is coming back so we'll continue with a slim shower threat Wed-Thurs, but the temps will stay Spring-Like in the 70s. A cold front arrives early on Friday with some showers before cooler and drier air filters in for Saturday & Sunday. In this non-winter of 2011-12, we are nearing the time when the higher sun angle prevents us from getting a hard freeze. Looking into next week, I don't see anything that brings freezing cold down to the Gulf South. Once in March past the 15th, it's tomato planting time!
