Cool down to Gain Speed...

As mentioned in previous blogs, it appears there is a major pattern shift in the upper air that will finally bring down some real winter weather for much of the eastern United States later this week. Fortunately for us, the core of the cold should stay to our north, but the North Shore could flirt with near freezing over the weekend. Friday's parades could have issues with wet weather before we dry out for Sat-Sunday. Long range, it appears the following week could stay unsettled with several rain systems affecting the Gulf South. Way to soon to guess about the major parades and/or Mardi Gras itself, especially if the SW upper flow continues.

Finally, it amazes me how in 2010 & 2011, when the winters were cold and snowy across the Great lakes & NE, the AGW'nistas said it was global warming causing the extremes. No surprise in the non winter of 2012 that they would be at it again saying the climate is changing and man is the cause. Guess they haven't been following what's going on in Europe or Japan or Alaska? The folks over there would love to see some warming! But alas, I'm an "infidel" for not believing CO2 is the driver of our current warming CYCLE.
