Not much has changed in our computer guidance from yesterday. It appears the bullseye for the heaviest rains will remain over east Texas on Fri-Monday. Oh we'll see some showers, but I am not expecting the all day type rains that will fall to our west. Hopefully our rains will not affect the many parades happening around town this weekend? Otherwise, this rain event will be welcomed rains for an area that has been in dought for a long time.
Looking ahead, March 2012 will continue the pattern of non-Winter 2011-12. We're likely to see numerous record heat reports during the next 10-14 days as I see no cold air over Canada coming southward into the lower 48 except over the Rockies.
