There They Go Again...

Ahhhh, Yet another article about global warming. This time in today's Times-Picayune...headline..."Warmer Winter Could Mean More Insects". I thought Great! More food for the birds, frogs & spiders, but the article was all about the bad things that MIGHT happen. Geez, where's the fair & balanced? I most objected to the Maryland professor who said..."I don't want to make any pronouncements about climate, but there's a pretty good indication this world is warming". Huh? Where? In the U.S.? Sure, but does the good professor know about the winter the rest of the northern hemisphere just experienced? Has he heard over 600 people died of the severe cold in Europe? Of course no one in the media challenges these articles. They just print them as if they are true facts.

Wow, what a stormy day across parts of south Louisiana. Luckily we escaped the super heavy rains (12-15") that drenched Carencro and flooded portions of I-49. Should see a drier regime settle in for the rest of this week along with near record warmth over most of the SE up thru New England. If you want some cold air, head to the Rockies where Winter will return later this week.
