NHC indicates T.S. Gordon will be named on Thursday way out in the central Atlantic. It is expected to turn to the east and head towards Europe. Closer to home, the remains of TD 7 is pushing into the southern Gulf interacting with an upper low. Behind it in the western Caribbean is a cluster of T-Storms that will cross the Yucatan and head into the SW Gulf this weekend. With a deepening east coast trough, some of that tropical moisture could feed northward towards the TX/LA coasts by Sunday-Monday. The real question is...will the trough be deep enough to drive a cold front down off our coast Sunday night into Monday bringing us noticeably drier air and cooler nights. Stay tuned!
The tropical Atlantic remains dead.
