Considering that it’s still November, for us to have a freeze threat so early should send up some caution flags for the rest of this winter season. It has been many years since we’ve seen a moderate to hard freeze (24-28) on the South Shore, but all signs are pointing to a continuation of cold fronts and southern track lows into December & January. The 1st freeze threat arrives tomorrow night into Thanksgiving morning when temps will dip to the low to mid 20s on the Northshore and 29-32 on the Southshore. While that should not create and major problems, what happens 3-4 weeks from now when the cold air coming south will be worse? It’s the time of the year to prepare your homes & gardens for what appears to be many freeze threats this winter. Who knows…maybe this is our snow year? Just kiddin’ !!!
