Winter-like temps have arrived about 2-3 weeks earlier than ‘normal” requiring full precautions against freezing temps, especially on the North Shore. I’m always amazed how folks wait until the freeze threat is here before they think about doing something to protect their property. Wrap pipes? Should have been done when house was built. Why do we have to tell folks year after year to “wrap your pipes”? Is it just me? Or did a lot of folks miss the line for common sense at creation? So many qualify for Denny Shaffer’s DOPE OF THE DAY!
Been watching The Weather Channel , CNN & FOX News completely over hype the current storm heading out of the Northeast (Boreas? Really?). In fact, the FOX guy used “incredibly cold, incredibly windy, incredibly snowy” in describing a typical late November storm. Yea it’s cold, windy & snowy in spots, but c’mon. Do we really think people are that stupid to think these storms haven’t happened before? Just pay attention how the media overplays almost every weather event…Killer storm, Deadly cold, Incredibly snowy. And on that I’ll wish Happy Hanukkah & Happy Thanksgiving to all my viewers.
