Get Ready for Climate Change Assault

I have been receiving almost daily missives from several PR firms hired by NOAA to promote Global warming/Climate Change/Weather Extremes or whatever they now call it.   Get ready for several Alarmist’s reports this week on Climate change in the SE.  IF you have the TRUTH, why would you have to hire PR firms to educate the folks?   Look at what the media has done with the Typhoon in the Philippines…Winds gusts to 235…worst storm ever!!!...storm surge 30-40 feet!!!    Sound familiar?    Alarmist?  You betcha.  Any ground truth?   Nope.   Hey, we all agree it was a very bad storm, however the only winds MEASURED on the ground were 145 MPH (Cat.4)…the MEASURED storm surge was 21’(Katrina was 28+’) yet CNN had reporters giving scary information showing how much bigger Haiyan was compared to Sandy and what if Haiyan had hit where Sandy hit?   Duh?   Can you say much warmer water temps in the tropical Pacific than the Atlantic north of 40 degrees.  Or how about CNN showing ¾ of Florida drowning IF Haiyan hit there.   Shameful, shoddy, stupid reporting.  Never let facts get in the way of a “good” story. Pitiful.

 

Locally, we are going to see the coldest air since last April and NWS has issued a freeze warning for the Northshore for Wednesday morning.   It will become very windy during the afternoon hours Tuesday lasting thru most of Wednesday.  Heavy coats will be required. The core of the cold air should stay to our north & east and the South Shore will not have to worry about freezing temps.   A warm up will begin on Thursday PM with temps back above 70+ Friday-Sunday.
