December to Remember...

Here we are 9 days into the month and it’s looking more & more like a White Christmas for most of the lower 48.  In fact, the long range 2 week forecast hints at a severe Arctic outbreak,  with hard freezes here even on the South Shore, arriving BEFORE Christmas Eve.  Remember the Christmas snow here back in 1985 & ’89?  While I’m not willing to “predict” something 2 weeks in advance, I want to get all you “snow freaks” excited.  The little fella will suffer for awhile, but that’s why we get Christmas sweaters !

For many up north, they are already tired of the cold.  Chicago will be below zero and the chill will head to the big cities of the Northeast.  Where are all the Climate Change Alarmists with all the cold records tumbling?   We certainly see/hear them when heat records are broken.  I still like the answer a guy gave the network reporter who asked…”what do you think of all this cold weather?”   Fella answered…”hey it’s December.” !   Duh !!!

Finally the sun will return for several days but it won’t help warm the temps much.  Highs will stay in the 50s with lows in the 30s & maybe some 20s N-Shore.
