A powerful upper disturbance will kick out of the Southwest this weekend sending several waves of low pressure along a frontal boundary that will have Winter on the north side and Spring on the southern end. We’ll see highs approach or exceed records on Friday & Saturday before the reality of December returns for Christmas. There is a very real threat for severe weather in Texas on Saturday moving to the ENE for Saturday night into Sunday. It appears the strongest storms will stay across northern LA/MS with only some heavy downpours here. Cooler air arrives on Sunday with even colder air on Monday & Tuesday. Christmas looks sunny, dry and comfy cool with highs around 60. Merry Christmas and enjoy the holiday. I’ll be on my usual Christmas break until Jan. 2nd. Happy New Year !
