After our brief cold spell, a warming trend has begun that will soar temps into the 70s Thursday & Friday with highs nearing 80+ on Saturday. The record here Saturday is 80 & I think we’ll break it. Warm air will stream all the way up over the snow cover in the Ohio Valley & Northeast creating fast melting & no doubt some flooding. We’ll see only a few passing showers Friday & Saturday before some strong storms, possibly severe? Arrive with a cold front on Sunday. That will bring back December reality with highs in the 50s & nights in the 30s for the start of Christmas week. Christmas Day here looks dry & mostly sunny with comfy cool temps (60-ish). Stay tuned.
In the short term, look for increasing clouds, winds and temps on Thursday. We’ll be on the fog watch as warm Gulf air surges over the cold coastal waters.
